Jinitiator download for windows 10 64 bit -
The applications in-house team havent managed to get it working with JRE, which is the replacement to Jinit. They insist that you must use Jinitiator 1. See post repaint blog post on how to fix the repaint screen issues, if they are happening to you.
This post is now 6 years old, lots of parts of the solution have moved on. What version of IE are you using, have you tried using that in compatibility mode? Check out the out comments, search for fatal as others have the same issue, some of the comments might shine a light on a solutions which works for you. If you do find a solution please let us all know what worked for you.
The original post was working when using IE 8 and Windows 7, so do not expect it to work with anything newer. But I have a screen problem! Actually, when I type something, I have to move the window to force Windows to refresh the graphic content and then I can see the text typed.
The repainting of the screen is cause by the version of oracle forms, because it just isnt designed to be ran on Windows 7. If this is causing issues with you being able to see parts of the screen, then there is not much that you can do. I had the same problem!!!
It was the video card on the motherboard HP I put in another video card and the problem was gone. Spent several days tracking down a jvm. Out of desperation I tried it and this fixed it. Thank you so much! No problem, we also had a nightmare tracking down the issue, knew we had to tell the world on finding the solution. Indeed it is a matter of oracle forms, but the strange thing is That any action on the screen settings like the admin password prompt get it to work!
This has fixed the issue but it is taking a longer time for navigation between the forms. Is there any resolution for this? Therefore there is not much that you can do. Hello I am using jinitiator 1. I install jinitiator manually and the last java plug in.
I change the jvm. Also, you dont need to also delete your current version of the Java runtime or JDK. These will all still work if you follow the instructions above.
Wow, thanks — it looks like this actually worked for me! We have a corporate finance program that runs on the jinitiator and they only support windows XP, but sometimes we need to access it with a laptop or other newer computer. Thanks again! Walk-through for Windows 7 x64 , without replacing JVM. It appears that the change to windows basic theme has something to do with the direct-draw feature in Java. I stumbled on this somewhere on the internets and this fix seems to work in most cases.
It may not work all the time. Launching the JInitiator control panel app resets Windows back to basic theme, but launching the website application seems to be okay. I am running Oracle 10g on WIndows 7 we upgraded last summer … Your solution above sort of worked for me, the first time I did it anyway! However it stops working after the first time.
Did anyone else have this proble and find a workaround? I am contact Oracle tomorrow and will let you all know if I get anywhere with them! Thanks again for sharing his workaround with us! This is cool stuff but.. DLL is different than the original one? Where did you get it? I use it without any bother on our corporate computers.
I have to work out using your example unfortunately it refuses to load from program filed x86 hotspot location. Funny enough it work on 2 laptops which are the same and not on the 3rd on which is the same to. Any ideas please? I am thinking of compiling a 32bit version of jinitiator and replacing files in the 64bit.
I did something similar in my previous company with a citrix. Other than that, give the compiling idea a shot and see how you get on, could you report the results here, in case it helps anyone else.
Your solution saved me a bunch of frustration. I hope good things come your way am sure they will. Oh man, this is so exciting. I fixed the repainting issues and the problems with the theme changer. I have a problem with jinitiator 1. Is anyone having this problems.
Can you tell me how you got 1. I have tried, but even using compatability, it starts to unpack, then just stops without installing, even when run as administrator? The version your trying to get installed is very old.
Hi, Sadly, I am not able to upgrade the version of jinitiator, and am just trying to get our unsupported version of ebusiness to run on windows 7. I have it working using XP mode, but it would be simpler to deploy if I could get it to work without using XP mode. JInitiator is just a repackaged early release of a JRE. As I mentioned, this is not a version supported by Oracle, and with no support I cannot download the e-business patches that would be necessary for the Jinitiator upgrade.
Also, as I have no Oracle support, I also have no access to any metalink articles that would explain how to do the upgrade. How did you fix your repainting isues, I replace the jvm. Thanks scriptfoo. Hi, anyone found a solution for the JInitiator 1. There is a way to fix that issue, I wrote it as a separate blog post on my site. While Opening NOP appliactions, users are able to login successfully with their credentials, however it gives below issue. I made my oracle forms aplications works on windows 7 thanks to all the tips..

Raymond, It works. Thank you very much. But after I managed open the forms, it is hard to select certain fields. Cannot use tabs and arrow. Is there anyway to do this? Java archive is here.
I tried to susbstitute the jvm. The Java Archive is here. Did you manage to get this resolved? Thnx guys it worked. My IAS is on win ,client is win 7 ie 9. End that task if it is running, and remove it from launching in the registry user-specific hive.
Last-ditch solution is to disable Windows 7 DEP data execution prevention. Thanks to every one I did the jvm. DLL tried uninstalling and every thing but problem is still same any idea?
